IDEA lab Ph.D. students Ruochi Li and Haoxuan Zhang, along with faculty Professor Jiangping Chen, attended the 25th IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM), the world’s premier research conference in data mining, which took place in Washington DC, USA, from November 12-15, 2025.

Best Poster Paper Award

The students presented their research paper “Unveiling the Merits and Defects of LLMs in Automatic Review Generation for Scientific Papers,” which received the Best Poster Paper Award in the Regular Paper Session at the conference. This collaborative work was co-authored with Dr. Edward Gehringer from North Carolina State University and IDEA lab faculty members Dr. Ting Xiao, Dr. Junhua Ding, and Dr. Haihua Chen.
